Professional & Personal Background
Starla has worked with the Education Department since August of 2018. Prior to her transfer to government, she worked for Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee since 2008 in the Player Development and Human Resources departments. She created and launched the Tribal Leadership Development Program in June of 2017. With Education’s acquisition of the program and support, she is able to work with all FCP business and government entities to build career plans for community members. She continues to develop the program while partnering with tribal and business leaders and participants in support of tribal sovereignty and self-determination.
Starla is mother of four boys who have all attended the Indian Community School in Milwaukee. As a family they love to travel and stay active.
